The Cathy Bennett Show

United States, EnglishEducation

This talk show is a passion of mine and a labor of love--inspired by returning to college later in life. This show is my attempt to bridge the gap between academia and those who have not had the experience of higher education. I discovered that college is where the true education begins! Prior to that (K-12), we only learn the "operations manual" of life (what is expected, what isn't--the conditioning of society and how to fit in). Some of us never get through or go beyond that "operations manual" and so do not realize the depth and breadth which a college education brings to one's life. It opens your eyes to a world you had no idea existed and to choices you would never have imagined. It is my hope that through these scholarly conversations about dissolving communication barriers, I will help you bridge the latest academic knowledge with everyday personal practices in communication, giving you some new insights and tools that can make a difference in your own communication with others. I hope you will join me twice each month on scheduled Wednesday mornings at 9:30am for an interesting and lively dialogue with my academic guests. Download and listen to all my shows. This is the latest, college level information on how to connect with others in meaningful ways, and it is at a great price—free!
