Thomas McKenna was born in California in 1962, the year St. Gianna died, and has worked full time throughout his life in lay Catholic movements promoting and defending the Faith. His work for the Church has taken him to countries around the world and he has served in many varying capacities. Thomas currently serves on the board and is a Director of the International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima Foundation. He has served as a special custodian of this famous statue on many occasions over the past 30 years and is currently writing a book on the history of the statue which is scheduled to be published later this year. He also serves as the Executive Director of the Confraternity of Catholic Clergy, a national association of over 600 priests and deacons which he has assisted for over 15 years. In 2005 Thomas moved to San Diego. In 2006 he married his wife, Bridgette, who is a physician. That same year he founded two new organizations. Catholic Action for Faith and Family which is directly involved with addressing and clarifying issues facing the Church today in our country, and St. Gianna Physician's Guild.
