Mission Possible - Being Gentle

Have a gentle spirit. Create a spirit that wants to be tender and considerate. Desire a spirit that looks for ways to lighten up the hearts of others. This calls for a heart like God. Jesus came to mend the broken hearted, to set the captive free. To give freedom to those that were bound. People who are angry are bound. When love is shown, it covers a multitude of sin. That is why Jesus said, love your enemies, in doing so you heap coals of fire upon them (Proverbs 25:22). Mean people expect to be treated mean. We you exercise the fruit of gentleness, showing forgiveness, God covers it, with His love. Jesus said forgive them for they know not what they do.  If you have a mindset to forgive, God will open your heart and make that request real.  Forgiveness is how we show love. It becomes a part of the armor of God.  Your feet are shod with the gospel of peace (Ephesians 6:10). You cannot have peace with your brother until you forgive and let it go.  When you forgive and create this gentle spirit towards your enemy, the first person that is released from bondage is you!  Your spirit becomes free to receive good from God.  God heals you from that experience. Your spirit becomes free to produce fruit and have increase. This is how you grow and conquer this mission possible. God says, that which is impossible with man, is possible with Him (Luke 18:27)!
