Today’s show was very interesting…I’ve always wanted to learn more about Bau-Biology, and our guest, Mary Bernadette, was very informative.
Bau-Biology is the study of a “building’s health” which started in Germany after WW2 and became more predominantly studied in the 1970s. Bau-Biology started with the study/research of numerous people becoming sick due to the inexpensive, fast construction of re-building Germany after WW2.
***an example of this happening today would be the outbreak of “Katrina Cough” LA/MS in the FEMA trailer parks after Hurricane Katrina.***
While the US has lagged behind Europe in studying this, we are starting to catch up. Clearwater, FL is home to the International Institute of Bau-Biology. Here you can become certified in this study. Go to their website for more info.
Mary, who owns the company BioChild LLC (www.biochild.net) offers consultations to help determine the health of one’s space through air quality (mold, mildew), EMF issues (cell towers, utility poles) and ventilation in your home.
