First and foremost, I am NOT a movie critic. I am a writer, a
storyteller who happens to sing her songs. I LOVE words and the
strength they give me, the drive, the ability to speak my truth and
proclaim my passions. For many people LOVE is the most powerful word in

why means TRY...I shed my first tear of the movie (and there were many
more to follow) in that particular scene.
TRY to avoid this movie and the discussions sure to follow.
TRY to keep an objective point of view.
TRY not to loathe evil.
TRY not to hate a grandmother's apathy.
TRY not to learn a single lesson from this movie.
TRY to stay true to your stereotypes, your prejudices, your arrogance and your assumptions about others around you.
TRY to cling to your hopelessness.
TRY not to imagine a better for life for yourself no matter what your circumstances.
TRY not to let your humanity seep into your actions when you walk out of the theatre and back into your world.
TRY to downplay the importance of a good education and the system to support that.
TRY to ignore a child who needs help reading and writing.
TRY not to defend those who cannot help themselves.
TRY to walk beside another human being and not be affected by their suffering.
TRY to avoid feeling compassion for the character named Precious.
TRY not to dream.
I dare you.
