She has been at the faculty in the Environmental Studies Dept. at the University of California, Santa Cruz for over 10 years and is presently chair of the department Dr. Holl directs a large-scale restoration experiments in collaboration with land managers and farmers in the forests of Costa Rica and along the Sacramento River in California. On top of that she is co-director of the Center for Tropical Research on Ecology, Agriculture and Development.
Today we are also featuring some new tunes by Sharmac Bappa T Blake from May Pen, Jamaica. Great sounds from a new, upcoming artist.
Climate change is our continuing topic. It's being caused by human activity not volcanoes, solar activity or a universal conspiracy. This is a platform for everyone to tell us your views on cc, ask questions about this most important issue. The majority of people are very uninformed about cc because it has become unmentionable in the mainstream media. Talking about it is the first step to solving it.
As always great roots and culture music plus interesting Caribbean news and events.
