Linda Goin, who cared for her mom and now cares for her dad, joins Denise to share her caregiving story.

About Linda:

Linda Goin is a 60-year-old mother of one and caregiver to her parents. She spent the past two years caregiving her mother, Joanne, who was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, or bile duct cancer, in March 2013, and who miraculously survived until June 2014. Linda and her father were with Joanne when she died. Linda is a writer, a graphic designer, a jewelry designer, and an entrepreneur. She won 13 Colorado Press Association awards in 1995, and she's now writing a memoir about her experiences with caregiving her mother. Now, however, she's caregiving her 84-year-old father from a distance. Since he seems to be doing better than everyone expected following the death of his wife, Linda's load has lessened a bit. She occasionally blogs about caregiving her dad on Caregiving.com, which is a nice way to journal her progress as this new story unfolds.
