LIVE WITHOUT LIMITS

I grew up with a disability, was educated and employed before there were laws on the books guaranteeing people with disabilities these rights. I grew up in a dyfunctional family where there was physical, emotional, and verbal abuse. I grew up have low self esteem. I turned things around for myself by studying both Mental Health, Psychology, and reading self- help books. Because IDEA became law when I was in graduate school, my teachers didn't understand that CP affects how the brain processes information and that I learn differently. I entered the workforce 12 years before ADA became law and since I couldn't find gainful employment I started my own business. Because of where the economy is now people are where I was 25 years ago. That's what makes me an expert on my topic. I have an AAS in Mental Health, BS in Psychology, credits towards MS in Rehabilitation Counseling. I'm a distributor with InScape Publishing and use their assessment profiles to help clients understand their behavioral styles in communication, working in teams, leadership, listening, learning, time management, diversity, dealing with stress, sales, and managing people, so you can reach your maximum potential in life and learn to Live Without Limits.

There are many strategies to building relationships and sales. Think about giving away something as a gift such as an E-Book if it fits your niche. This helps you build your list of potential cutomers--you build your list with a lead capture page since everyone has to leave their name and address to get the free download. Just remember this is a strategy everyone is using so don't send emails 3-4 times a day because then it becomes spam. Once a week or once in two weeks keeps your name in front of them. You also want to give them a tip that they can use so they look for your emails. For instance, as an Inscape Publishing distributor, I was on a conference call and they were talking about awebsite called the Universe who sends out daily emails M-F, with an uplifting paragraph. I look forward to these emails. Then again, Internet Marketers send me emails 3-4-5 times a day with a free download leading to the same capture page. This means I end up with more than 200 emails to read a day. I don't even open these emails I just delete them and have now started unsubscribing to them and would never buy anything from them. So the best way to build a strong relationship is to offer something to your customer they can use. This builds a strong relationship. Another form of building a strong relationship is understanding your different communication styles and talking in thier language. People who can benefits from this show are entrepreneurs and coaches.

    What is Good Communication?

People are not always sure of how they come accross in their communication skills. Be aware of the tone of voice, the expression on your face--mouth, eyes, stance, ECT. These are all a part of the way we communicate. We communicate differently with family members then we do with friends, even if we are unaware of it. In a family we tend to be more judgemntal of each other which affects how we communicate. This is often because we learn each others hot buttons and like to push them just because we feel we can often not taking into consideration the affect it may have on one another. Learn to listen to how you communicate with family members and figure out a way to improve your relationships. Sometimes we do this because it's our personality, other times it comes out of perceived jealousy for one another. If you are unable to change on your own get family therapy because it's the only family you have. If you are unwilling to seek help or want to change then it will bring a rift between family members. People who should listen are counselors, therapists, businessmen--since trhis affects your communication skills in business.

    Writing a Mission Statement

Do you haved a mission or purpose for your life? Do you know what it is? As a child we often plan our future, but as adults we let society dictate what we should do. The women's movement in the'70's help open the doors for women in the corporate environment, but they still hit a glass ceiling. Today with the workplace moving back to the small businessman working from home more women have t6heir own business so they are breaking through the glass ceiling. Every business needs to have a written mission statement (business plan) to follow to make their business a success, but we often forget to plan for success in our personal lives. If you don't have a written plan it is hard to think about and plan for your future. Here are some things to think about. While you were in school your teacher planned out the curriculum so you had a goal in place which was toread and study what you were told to. Then in college there was less structure so you have toset you own goals for your education--finding gainful employment after graduation. When you worked a company they wrote your mission for you. When you have your own business you have to know the mission of your company. Think about planning your personal life as well. What direction do you want to go in--business or marriage. A marriage take work by two people to make it successful--having the same goal for your personal life. If one or the other decides to change the goal and they don't discuss it--there is a breakdown in the relationship. People who should listen to this program areb business owners, students, couples, ECT.
