We are currently in a down economy, therefore, you have to be creative when it comes to getting a job with a company. Have you ever thought about the designing your the job of your dreams. First we'll get the skills you have that you use in one job that you really love and think about how you can use those skills in a totally different field doing the job you love to do. Next think about the company you would like to work for, research it through the Internet to see what problems they may be having and how you can create a job for yourself with that company. Then you need to approach them and see if they would be willing to put together a contract with you doing the job you've created for yourself. You may have to offer to do the work for free for one or two months just to let them see if you will work out with their company, but make sure you have a contract with them that if they really love what you do they will be willing to start paying you a salary at the end of that trial. If it doesn't work out with this company have a backup company available and do a similar contract with them, because eventually you will find the company that is looking for someone that can do what you do at your best. People who should listen to this show are entrepreneurs, unemployed people, coaches, employment counselors, executive coaches, executive search consultants, and someone who has a home-based business. Even if you don't have a contract to work within the company, you may also be able to put together multiple contracts with various companies who need your skills.
