How to Turn Your Passion Into a Home-Based Business
Do What You Love & Build a Business Around It

Entrepreneurs with a new year goal of starting their own business are now gathering facts and how-to's in order to begin their objective and are finding this information online, on the radio and with the help of coaches and mentors.

Online radio producer and host, Kathi Calahan shares with listeners this Tuesday how to discover and achieve their Life's Work.  Based upon her home study course book, DISCOVERING YOUR LIFE'S WORK, HOW TO START YOUR OWN BUSINESS, her online radio show is geared toward uncovering a person's best three spiritual gifts - skills, values and interests.

"All of these are the God-given gifts each soul is born with," explains Calahan, "and are the principles upon which to build your dream career."

One such entrepreneur, Janis Flippen, will be Calahan's guest Tuesday evening online at BlogTalkRadio.  Flippen discovered her Life's Work by following her passion for public relations.  Upon further investigation, Flippen found her niche in the travel industry and now works closely with one of her biggest clients,Visit Oxnard, promoting tourism in Calfornia.  By uncovering her favorite past time interests, values and skills, Flippen is now leading the life she was looking for in an industry which matches her psersonality.

During times of economic downturn, men and women with a vision, but not the methods, have always turned to experts for help.  Calahan says that those who would most benefit from accomplishing entrepreneurship:
  1. Have found a problem and can provide a solution, thus the birth of their business
  1. Have made a business plan before opening to the public
  2. Know all the local laws and regulations for home-based businesses
  3. Either have the capital to begin their business with hired help or can wear many different hats and do the work themselves
  4. Know marketing
  5. Can keep accurate banking records
  6. Can provide a needed service or product on a regular basis
  7. Are willing to ask a career coach or specialist for help, thus avoiding thousands of hours of wasted time
  8. Can set goals and achieve them
  9. Have matched their values, skills & interests to their new business
Calahan invites would-be entrepreneurs to tune in Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at 4:00PM Arizona Time, online at BlogTalkRadio and ask questions of both the guest and host regarding starting a business.  She says, "If you've got the drive, I've got the methods."  Dial in instructions are found at http://www.godseer.com/index_files/Page477.htm
