Tonight a special Candelo's Corner rebroadcast from May 9, 2016:
David Shi visits The Corner to talk about his new book North Asian Magic

By day, David is a financial services analyst who graduated from the Stern School of Business at New York University. By night, David is an Animistic worker and folk magician of Manchurian descent. Raised in a household that incorporated both Southeast Siberian and North Chinese practices, David has dedicated his spare time to the study of the folklore and spiritual traditions of his ancestors and of greater Eurasia. Through research on global folk magic, David was introduced to hoodoo via apprenticeship with Khi Armand and later graduated from cat yronwode's correspondence course. David currently resides in Manhattan, New York where he occasionally provides spiritual services (tarot, runes, bones, etc.), products, and workshops to his immediate communities.
