When is the last time you remember three pay-per-view events in the same month from WWE? First it was WrestleMania, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Then the Greatest Wahhabi Rumble in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Now it's BackLash, in Newark, New Jersey on Sunday, May 6.
For the first time since the brand split a couple years ago, WWE has gone back to a policy of PPV's including both rosters, not just the Big 4 events. It's time to open up the booking possibilities again for the company. The recent Title home questions should be solved by the time BackLash is over.
So what belts are NOT up for grabs? The Universal Championship, the Cruiserweight Championship and both Tag Team Championships. The rest are in play including the third match for the WWE Championship between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura, this time a No Disqualification contest. Four compulsory rematches, Seth Rollins vs The Miz for the Intercontinental belt, Charlotte vs Carmella for the SmackDown Womens belt, Nia Jax vs Alexa Bliss for the RAW Womens belt and Jeff Hardy vs Randy Orton for the US belt. Will the IC or US belts change home? Will the return of Daniel Bryan hit a bump in the road courtesy of Big Cass? Will Samoa Joe join the Shit on Roman club? Will the new monster pairing of Braun Strowman and Bobby Lashley destroy Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn?
