It's been a busy summer so far for every sports entertainment brand out there. Not only the usual pay-per-view events and the hype that goes with them, but something more. Brand expansions, new people turning up in new places, new international negotiations and tournaments.
Which brands are giving value for fans' entertainment dollar? Which are trying to buy their way to market leadership? Which are putting their efforts into the actual inside-the-ropes product and which brands are selling the stories more than the sweat?
We had so much fun last time, we're doing it again. Four Canadian internet radio hosts and pro wrestling fans are gonna spin their visions of what TF is going on in the Pro Wrestling world.
Mr. Derick Thompson - host of Loaded Dice Radio, megafan of all wrestling entertainment, a guy who can tell you all the pros and cons of each brand. Mr. Dave Temrick - host of Mark Out Radio, Loaded Dice Radio and a mountain of other wrestling show spots and panel segments. Not just a fan, a fan who remembers and doesn't forget the how and why about anything inside the ring. Mr. p0rnopuppy - host of Rebelution Radio, Radio Free Rover, frequent guest elsewhere on BTR, long time wrestling fan that remembers Stampede Wrestling and sometimes wishes for that era to be more relevant today. Mr. canadianglen - some old, blond Canadian guy who regularly bitches about #cdnpoli and has only recently really returned to having real interest in the pro wrestling game, but he's been a fluke with predictions.
New Japan Pro Wrestling recently finished this year's Climax tournament and it was outstanding. Ring of Honor Wrestling has Death Before Dishonor XIV this weekend. NXT has TakeOver: Back 2 Brooklyn this weekend, with 3 title matches on a 5 match card. WWE SummerSlam will have 6 titles up for grabs on a minimum 10 match card.
