December 2015 and January 2016 proved to be very heartbreaking to music fans around the world as five influential and iconic personalities left this earth. They were from different generations, had different genres and styles, catered to different audiences and all left an indelible mark on contemporary music in their own way. All of them had their battles with addictions, other artists, record labels, the press, their fans and their families to varying degrees.

Scott Weiland, Lemmy Kilmister, Glenn Frey, Paul Kantner and David Bowie will all live on through their work for posterity. Some of them mean more to some people than others. Depending on your age and the cultural era you claim as your own that is a natural phenomenon. But on this episode The View Up Here will give personal reflection on them all. Some I saw live, some that desire will remain unfulfilled. We will play their music and discuss their lives, in and out of public view. And pay tribute to them all.

You are invited to listen, to join the chat and/or call in to share any personal stories you may have about them. Rest In Peace, icons.
