CallyStyle Cookie Johnson---Wife of Magic Johnson Laker Great......Her New Line of Jeans.........and speaks on her fight on Aids The wife of basketball legend Magic Johnson says women must empower themselves when it comes to fighting HIV and AIDS by getting tested. Cookie Johnson was in Oakland today where the disease continues to cripple the black community. Cookie Johnson reached out to black religious leaders in Oakland asking them to support those living with HIV and AIDS. "By providing support groups for people who are infected, providing educational material and just talking to the congregation to educate," said Johnson. In 1991 her husband, basketball great, Magic Johnson surprised the world after announcing he was HIV positive. Cookie Johnson now gets screened every year, and she says women should too. Jay King CLUB NOUVEAU Singer/songwriter/arranger, "Valerie Watson" and producer/singer/songwriter and entrepreneur, "Jay King" formed the group "Club Nouveau". Their debut album, "Life, Love & Pain", was a Certified Phenomenon. Beginning with the single "Jealousy", which raced onto the "Top Ten Charts" in ten short weeks. It was then followed by "Situation No. 9", which shot to the Top Five in even less time. Lighting then struck a third time when the young ensemble recorded their updated version of the "Bill Withers" classic "Lean On Me".
