Merry Christmas Callywood Nation and the CallywooditesAMELIA...Amelia
has been in love with fitness for as long as she can remember. She
always wanted to be an athlete but never had the stamina. At the age of
16 a neighborhood boy laughed at the way she looked in a pair of shorts
calling her thighs flabby. She made a vow to herself to never let anyone
talk bad about her body again. She set out to improve herself
physically. She was fortunate enough to land a job with a boutique salon
of that day called “Elaine Powers Figure Salon”. There she learned many
of the techniques and skills that she applies to her fitness regime
today.Always being asked by the many women she works with, “What
is your secret?” She proudly tells them that there is no secret. Just
two things…Proper Diet and Exercise... Something she has learned through
hard work, dedication and hours of informative reading anything and
everything that relates to women especially those over 50.Amelia
knows the problems that plague many women in adopting proper eating and
exercise. She now devotes many hours to educating and instructing women
that it is never to late to get started with some type of exercise
regime. Many women fail to realize that their greatest possession are
Themselves.Amelia gives private instructions and teaches several
classes a week in strength training, water aerobics, pilates and a
funky style of belly dancing geared mainly toward working the core with
emphasis on improving your posture and bringing out your inner
inhibitions.Amelia is currently working on a fitness book geared
towards women over 50 and she also devotes her time to a non profit
called The Human Rights Project. Raising money and awareness for women
whom flee to America seeking asylum because they are victims of violence
and torture.Amelia believes that the Real Fountain of Youth is in Diet and Exercise and that a Fit Body is a Beautiful Body
