In my work I present real people. I know that this genre can tend to be very fantasy driven and for good reason, but my desire is for my readers to see the fantasy as achievable in their own relationships, particularly marriages. So when I say 'real' people I mean you will find characters with cellulite, receding hairlines, crooked teeth, little pot bellies etc. I don't want them to dream of other people or the characters in the story. As a writer I feel I have a responsibility to my readers to give them something of substance, something attainable along with their desire to be entertained.
It's good to talk.
