BZR#007: The fuss about the next Xbox and Nintendo's future

The next box is said to be an always-on console that will cost you a lump of cash with a required subscription and even though nothing is set in stone until May 21st, according to reliable rumors, folks 360 owners start finding the PS4 more appealing for the next generation.  But what if the next Xbox won't suck?  Also, is Nintendo totally losing it?  Or do the gimmicky 3DS and Wii U platforms still have a fighting chance in today's gaming market?  Let's talk about that.
