    Compass Ministries - Scott Northway

    On Tuesday, May 1st, Gerry and I had the pleasure of interview Scott Northway, Founder of Compass Ministries.  Scott provided us with some great insight into the success behind Compass Ministries:

    1. God-centered ministry, that focuses on equipping the dads for True Fatherhood.
    2. Breakout sessions that allow the fathers and kids to bond using Q&A and other activities that spark dialogue.
    3. Authenticity - Each member of the Compass Ministries team is total vested in seeing dads and the kids relationships changed and strengthened.
    Compass Ministries, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which provides breakaway adventures that encourages authentic relationships between dads and their kids. Our high energy, spiritually-enriched breakaways challenge fathers to take a closer look at who they are and what their children are becoming.

    The Compass passion is to minister to fathers (married, single, divorced, etc.) and their children between the ages of 6 thru 16, as this is the most critical age for influencing the hearts of children. We provide age-specific content focus for ages 6 thru 9, 10 thru 12 and 12 thru 16 during one-on-one sessions.
     
    During our breakaways fathers deal with real life issues. Part of what we do is to unpack life stories of characters in popular movies, skits and real life testimonies in order to understand our unique gifts, purpose and passions. Our programs are designed to equip and encourage fathers to assume their God-given leadership role. Breakaways provide ample opportunity for discovery, application, understanding and communication in a fun and relaxing atmosphere.

    Father / Son and Father / Daughter breakaway adventures offer a memorable, God-centered, action-packed experience. Through a diverse selection of outdoor activities such as ropes challenge courses, water activities, horseback riding, archery, rifle-range, field games and more, challenges are overcome, trust is developed and relationships are strengthened between a father and his son or daughter
