    EL Hadj Cisse immigrated to the US from Ivory Coast, Africa in 2000. He was 14 and lived in the Bronx with his uncle. El Hadj soon realized he had a different dream about America than his uncle. Issues in the home soon landed El Hadj in foster care. In part 2 of our interview, he talks about those troubles, his educational experience in two New York City high schools and how those years began to shape the man he is now.

    On the first edition of UBUNTU RADIO, I talk to Mr. El Hadj Cisse. El Hadj was born in Ivory Coast, Africa and immigrated to the US in 2000 at age 14. We met while he was a student-athlete at North Carolina State University. I helped recruit him from New York City and coached him in college. This is Part I of an interview we conducted recently about his first few years in America, his path through education and what he has learned so far about life, about the world and about himself. Part 2-4 will be featured on later segments.
