In the history of humanity, humans have continued to be spiritually conscious and mindful of a supreme being which they depend on for spiritual guidance, favour, blessing, protection, in times of war they ask for victory in times of farming they ask for bountiful harvest, in times of sickness and infirmity they cry out for healing, when they are childless, they ask for children from this supreme deity, gods or God as the case may be.

Based on the historical facts available to us as Biafra people, we are not different from all others when it comes to faith in the god, for Ibo people call their God CHI-UKWU ABIAMA, CHINEKE, OLISE-BULUWA,  Ananng, Ibibio, Oron, Efik People call God of Heaven ABASI ENYONG, God of the Earth ABASI ISONG, Ijaw people call God TAMARAU, DELTA AREA call OYIN, BAYELSA area call WOYIN which means Mother, Kalabari area call OGINARAU, NANAOWEI meaning the owner, they also call God AYUBA or AYIBA, all the names are feminine names because they see God as being feminine.

Today, Biafra people are predominantly practicing “Christians” as a religion making about 90%, while 9.5% practice Traditional faith and .5% practice Islam/Moslem religion.
