  • The Legal Show: And the Crowd(funding) Goes Wild!

    in Legal

Attorney Sarah Avraham and writer Bennet Pomerantz discuss the subjects of the day.   The audience should know that although Ms. Avraham is a licensed attorney, she is not offering legal advice in any capacity, is not establishing an attorney/client relationship with anyone listening to the show, and recommends that any listener of the show consult a local attorney for any legal advice they may require.   This show is about us discussing hot topics and how they relate to the law.   In December, a lawsuit was filed in California federal court against the creators and producers of a new Star Trek film, Axanar.  Axanar is a feature film that is preceded by a short film.  So what is so different about it?  It has been made possible by $1 million in crowdfunding via Kickstarter and Indiegogo.  So why is Paramount suing now when so many Star Trek sourced fan fiction and movies have been made and distributed?  Tune in to the Legal Show to find out. .

All About Love – Fascinating Facts & Fantasy! Beverly Nadler

    in Business

Beverly Nadler talks "All About Love – Fascinating Facts and Fantasy!"
More songs and poems have been written about love than almost all other subjects combined.  Most of them are about romantic love – the highs, the lows, the joys, the pain.  At one of her concerts, Barbra Streisand said that the good thing about sad love affairs is the songs they inspire, and she went on to sing a sad love song. Of course, there are many other kinds of love, besides romantic love. There’s the love parents feel for their children and children feel for their parents. There’s the beautiful love of friendship.  And there’s the kind of love we feel about things that that give us pleasure – music, theater, places, food, activities, possessions, ideas, etc. But the most powerful love of all is unconditional love, called agape love in the Bible. True unconditional love has the power to heal.
Join me and one of my favorite guests, Beverly Nadler, for a special love-filled show as we gear up for Valentine’s Day.

  • Redefine Busy: gain control of ur business & get ur life back w Bryan Caporicci

    in Entrepreneur

Join Amy Zellmer as she chats with Bryan Caporicci
Three take-aways you will learn in this podcast: 1. Become aware of your use of the word “busy” and don’t use it as an excuse or status. 2. How to do more in less time. 3. Become aware of how you spend your time and stay focused on meaningful tasks that move the needle.
Entrepreneurship isn’t about being busy. It isn’t about more money, more connetions or more opportunities. Entrepreneurship is about freedom, flexibility and control. It’s about doing what you love and making a living doing it. It’s about designing the lifestyle you want and creating a business that fits into it. Yet, many solopreneurs do the opposite ~ they structure their life around their business. They put their clients first; somtimes even before their own family. Many are a slave to their business and can’t let go, can’t turn it off and can’t unplug.
Let’s redefine your relationship with time. Let’s redefine how and where you chose to invest your attention. Let’s redefine your priorities. Let’s redefine your business. Let’s redefine busy.
Bryan Caporicci is an award winning wedding and portrait photographer based out of Fonthill, Canada. He is the founder of Sprouting Photographer, a website and podcast dedicated to actionable "how-to" education. Bryan is also the CEO and Founder of Sprout Studio, the photography industry's first all-in-one system combining Studio Management software with Online Galleries, Album Proofing and the revolutionary new Sales Galleries. In 2014, he was awarded his Masters of Photographic Arts (MPA) designation by the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC).
