Rockpile is a collaboration of poets, musicians, performance artists, and allows for no audience. Everyone must participate and sing the bodies electric, else they will never have truly been there, and possibly never truly alive. Anarchist David Meltzer is an old school beat daddy, laying the smack down on nearly everyone in his wake. "i may not be able to run anymore, but i can still pick up a brick", said Meltzer to me once. Michael Rothenberg is a recovering liberal, with a taste for revolution and a pissed off sensibility that is not easy to swallow for those who think poetry is a nice way to spend an evening. Terri Carrion earned her poetic stripes in the depths of punk rock. Slamming her ass off and taking out the patriarchy in the pit.
