    Sabres 3 Islanders 2

    All the scoring came in the second period of this game with the Sabres pulling out a 3-2 victory.  The Sabres second goal was poorly played by Rick Dipietro on a wrap around by Thomas Vanek.  The Islanders never quit twice pulling with in one after trailing by two but could never get any closer.  The Sabres controlled the third period out shooting Islanders 17-2.  The teams will meet for Game #4 of the series on Wednesday at 7:35 on Long Island.
