$0$0Felice Herrig’s fight on this weekend UWC fight car against Iman Achhal this was a fight to remember. Felice, who is fighting her first MMA bout this year and is  2005 and 2006 IKF Woman's Bantamweight North American Champion 2006 W.A.K.O. Woman's Bantamweight National Champion and 2007 W.A.K.O. Woman's Bantamweight National Champion, is certain that she performed what she perceived to be a winning fight. Her current record is 18W 2L 1D with 4 Kos and she is currently on the St. Louis Enforcers team in the World Combat League. Felice also appeared on Fight Girls in 2007 on the Oxygen Channel and won her fight in Thailand against a champion Thai fighter.$0$0I received word from sources yesterday on how the fight proceeded and they stated that in their opinion it was not up to par for most MMA bouts. My source also stated that the fight was not quite, what they expected it to be, informing me that Felice had been told that the fight was to be three-minute rounds and the rounds ended up being five minutes apiece. This was just the beginning of several irregularities within the fight unfortunately.$0$0 My source went on to explain that Felice’s opponent held onto the cage many times and the referee did nothing to stop such actions and did not break up the fight when Felice’s opponent had Felice pinned to the cage but chose instead to do nothing about it. I was also informed that when it was apparent that Felice, to all appearances almost had her opponent in a triangle chokehold the referee stood the fight up, thus ending what would surely have been a winning combination. Does this sound like a hometown referee to you being partial to the ‘hometown’ competitor? In my humble opinion it surely does.$0$0Sources said during the fight Felice closed Iman's eye shut and "Smashed in her face", Sources went on to say that in their opinion, the ref should have stopped the fight right then and there considering the injuries of her opponent, but the fight was continued on.  After the split decision was read the hometown crowd was obvious with their dissatisfaction of this decision, booing loudly the official, ring girls and announcers. Nearly everyone at the fight after this decision was announced was heard to state that Felice was robbed.$0$0So again, how can a Woman's MMA bout be fair if the hometown ref is in the corner with hometown opponent I say? Can anyone from the hometown city where the fight was held answer that question? Of course, I saw an article at Yahoo sports about Felice's opponent about how her life was before the fight and other things, but all emotion aside, what I truly want to know is if the fight was a fair one? Can this be answered? Please if anyone out there that was at the fight please let this reporter know what you thought of the fight.$0$0Thanks,$0$0Sports Geeks$0$0
