Show Notes

In affairs of the heart, there are only a few hard and fast rules. Dating your friend's current spouse or significant other is a definite no-no. But what about getting with your friend's former flame? After all, what happened between those two is history. We're all mature, independent adults so it really shouldn't matter if you want to go out with someone who just happens to be your friend's ex.

The N-Word - Has Society Made the N-Word Acceptable?

It often amazes to see how loosely the N-word is still being used. I was at a football game the other night and a teenager was standing in front of me trying to get his friends attention; all he was saying is, "hey N*****, Hey...N*****, wait up!   Why is it that we, as African-Americans, feel it is acceptable or ok for our own people to use such a horrific words, and quickly condems someone of a different race if they use it? Has pop culture given the ok or the approval to use the N-Word sparringly in society? One would think that just as slavery has passed, just as the initial enactment of the civil rights has come and gone; you would also think the N-Word has passed. It is such a bad word when used by anyone of any color but it will just not die. What has happened within the society and country that we call the "United States of America?"
