Join host, Bruce Oliver, of the "Cruise Radio Network's: Cruise with Bruce™" radio program. Listen to a couple of cuts of Chicago musician Jeff Johnson's "Shine" CD in between our talk about traveling to Chicago.

Singer/songwriter Jeff Johnson was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago and at 9 played the piano with his brother. Bacharach and David, the Beatles, Beach Boys, Bee Gees, Elton John influenced their song writing and playing. In the late 80's they formed the Chalk Farm band, headlining at Chicago's legendary Cabaret Metro and Park West.

After Chalk Farm broke up, Jeff moved to LA and wrote two club hits - "Whenever You're Lonely" and a dance cover of the Bee Gee's "How Deep is Your Love". While running Interhit Records he also wrote songs for Englebert Humperdink & for Japanese artist.

Jeff ran Megahit Records from 99-08 & found the songs that he and his brother wrote years ago. Musicians from R&B legend Bobby Caldwell's touring band including Jean McClain (aka Pepper Mashay the lead singer, drummer Johnny Friday and guitarist Carlyle Barriteau, bassist Reggie McBride and recording studio owner Carmen Grillo they worked on his new CD "Shine". Other musicians helping include vocalist Marcellina Hawthorne. Alex Wurmbrand, Paul Henning, Alwyn Wright and Maxim Velichkin on strings. Renown horn players Greg Adams, Michael Paulo and Lee Thornburg as well as organist Joey Navarro.
