Brown Girl Collective celebrates BOLD, Brilliant and Beautiful women and girls of African descent by paying homage to our past and sharing our present, while preparing for our future.

Hosted by BGC founder Marcie L. Thomas, this show delves into the importance of fulfilling your life's dreams, creating a vision for yourself and your family and building a great legacy in the process. By living our lives in the passionate pursuit of purpose, we can accomplish all of these things.

Special Guests include:

  • Maria Melendez of Embrace Her Legacy: As the “the midwife to your legacy,” social entrepreneur, author, motivational speaker, executive producer, and women’s leadership advocate, she has embraced her mission of empowering others to live life purposefully. After leaving her high-profile career in the music business, Maria has proven that she is the essence of living in purpose in order to inspire others to follow suit. She uses her personal story to help others birth their own gifts and vision by coaching, motivating and educating her audience.
  • Jacqueline Barnes of Seed of Hope Foundation: Author, minister and “Coach Jacqui” co-founded Seed of Hope in 2009 to mentor teens and young adults in leadership development and life skills. She believes there is a seed of greatness in all of us and if that seed is nurtured, given the proper resources and placed in the right environment, we will all reach our greatest potential and fulfill our God given purpose in life. Her Dreams and Vision (Life 101) workshops and curriculum are facilitated with high impact.
