Over 230 years ago on April 18th in 1775 Paul Revere made his famous ride and I'm sure you remember the story.
He got on his horse and rode from village to village and from house to house and he began to cry, wake up, wake up, the British are coming, the British are coming.
So he sounded the alarm and cried in the streets telling everybody to wake up.
Paul Revere sent out a call shouting, "Wake up, the British are coming." And this began the Revolutionary War.
Now today there’s another war, an invisible war, and we all need to be modern-day Paul Reveres and tell everyone, "Wake up, wake up, the enemy is upon us, but fear not our LORD Jesus Christ is coming!."
So we need to sound the alarm.
But the sad thing is that the church is asleep, sitting on their soft chairs, sipping their lattes while watching the big screen or a laser light show as “performers” not worship leaders sing contemporary songs
Or their hip pastor has a conversation with them about the word of God rather than declaring the word of God.
So the church needs to wake up before it’s too late.
Church it’s time to wake up, then clean up and finally dress up. So tune in to see what it really means to put on The LORD Jesus Christ!
