Leslie Davenport is a pioneer in the health-care revolution that recognizes the role of meaning and the spiritual dimensions of life as an integral part of health and healing. As a founding member of the Institute for Health & Healing at California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, she is a renowned expert in health psychology. She is the author of the classic book on self-healing, Healing and Transformation Through Self Guided Imagery(2009, Random House), and served as Editorial Consultant to Aspen Publishers for their book, Holistic Health Promotion and Complementary Therapies: A Resource for Integrative Practice. Her book and expert advise have appeared in a number of magazines including Family Circle, Natural Health, Great Health, Body + Soul, Shift and San Francisco Medicine. She is also on faculty with John F Kennedy University, and clinical supervisor for the California Institute of Integral Studies. She has devoted the last twenty years of her life bringing non-traditional modes of healing into traditional medical settings.
