1. News at the store!

Blessings of fall to everyone!! Have you noticed the leaves are changing? Every moring, as I drive to work, I can't help but to notice just how beautiful the landscape is! I am soo blessed to be living here in the Hudson Valley! All the trees are turning red, brown and yellow.
I want to take a little time to thank everyone for all the help and good wishes in these past 2 weeks. There was a fire in my home (that is why I didn't get to the newsletter last week), but everything is fine now. The insurance people are doing a good job of getting everything settled, and I now get a new bathroom, laundry room, washer and dryer and furniture!
Did you get the see the pictures of Elizabeth's performance at the 2 Alices coffee lounge?? Amazing!

2. Events and classes!

We now have message therapy, every sat. with Melissa at the store by appt! The first Sat. of every month, we have a meditation class @6pm with Arthur Mitchell. Belly Dancing with Elizabeth Muise! Every Monday @7 pm $15 in advance, $18 drop in! Working on adding an aditional friday evening class. Tell us what you think! Men's Spirituality meetup w/Tommy Lindemann! Wed. Oct 1st. Please write to Tom for any info that you may need! tomisdrums@gmail.com We now offer clarvoyant sessions with Eleanor! She will be offering classes in the Chakras, Angels and astrology-check the website for updates. Please reserve for our Samhain celebration at the Plympton House! Tickets are $65 per person. This includes food, soda and desert, as well as ritual in the evening. If you are not eating, then the price is $10. There will be a maximum of 100 tickets to be sold. Friday,Oct, 31st. Yule/winter solstise Ball at The Grail! This years entertainment will be Raquy and the Cavemen and Trisha McBride and her girls! This will be a catered affair as well! Tickets will be $45 per person, $35 per bed if you stay overnight!

3. Fundraising!

Our own crazy Lorraine is organizing a fundraising committe for The Beltane festival in 2009. She posted a ton of info for it on our meetup page. If you are interested in helping out, or, you would like to buy an ad in the keepsake brochure that we are publishing, call or write to me at the store (845) 458-8726 or bernadette@bridscloset.com
This booklet will be beautiful! It will be filled with pictures, a calender of events, bios of all the teachers and performers, our staff will be featured, and of course..the ads! This is what Lorraine posted on the message boards!
Hi Everyone!!
It's me, Cosmic, loco alien chica, aka: Lorraine, hehe.
I'm here to announce our very first Beltane Committee!! Yey! I have elected myself Chairwitch of this fab-oo committee to create a terrific group of those individuals who wish to lend a helping hand to benefit the Beltane fundraiser that is in process! Another Yey!
What is this fundraiser pray tell?? Well, glad you asked! We (Brid's Closet) and myself are in the process of designing keepsake Beltane 2009 program guides that require ad space sales to generate funds to support Beltane production.
I am organizing a Committee of volunteers (including myself) to visit local businesses with our easy form to encourage shop owners to invest in an ad space to advertise their place of business in our keepsake booklet.
We'll be printing somewhere around 300-400 booklets to distribute before Beltane and at the festival.
These business ads will be our source of income/profit to support our endeavor and pay for printing costs.
Who is doing the printing?? I'm so glad you asked again!! I myself work for a large printing company, Personal Impressions, in Cortlandt Manor, NY (over the river and through the woods) who has designed this fundraiser kit for us! Woo Hoo! This is my occupation as sales representative for Personal Impressions. It's a terrific fundraiser kit directed to anyone looking to support athletics, dance, theater, etc. to help raise funds for needed items.
This kit has the potential to raise thousands, and has!!! John Jay High School, NY, Athletics department last year alone raised $10,000!!! Cookie sales don't bring in that kind of dough :)))
