If you think that much of what you're wearing wasn't inspired by street wear, well, guess again. Many of today's popular trends got their start on the street that then managed to trickle their way to mainstream fashion. On today's show, we're going to talk all about how street wear goes from being a trend worn kids like hipsters and skaters to then becoming something seen in every mainstream department store. Our guests today will Dave Ortiz, owner of Dave’s Wear House in NYC, a retailer of performance brands focused on skateboard, bike and lifestyle products, who will talk about his store, street wear and it's influence on how it often affects mainstream fashion. Additionally, we'll be joined by our retail expert Mercedes Gonzalez who will talk about the evolution and influence that street wear has on fashion and how it goes from street to the department store sale rack.
