As many of us age, we become set in our routines and become afraid to try new things. For many others this is a lifelong challenge they have yet to face. Joining Bridgette and Amanda in today's show is Patty Chang Anker, the blogger behind "Facing Forty Upside Down," where she writes about facing fears and trying new things in midlife. Patty is a Good Housekeeping "Blogger We Love" and a Circle of Moms "Top 25 Funny Mom." She is currently writing a book about how ordinary people face fears, to be published by Riverhead Books next year. Patty will talk about her lifelong fear of falling, drowning and being upside down and the impact that learning to dive into a swimming pool at 39 years old has had on her life. She will offer her insight and advice on how we can learn to take a look at our fears and begin to overcome them. We will take calls from people struggling with their own fears as well as from a friend and client of the Bridgette Raes Style Group, Julie Meyer RD, founder and CEO of Eat Well Global, Inc who will share her recent experience overcoming a fear of starting her own business. We invite you to call in and share your story about overcoming a lifelong fear or share a fear that you are still facing.
