By day, Joe Giaquinto is a computer geek—at night, Joe is a ghost hunter. A spiritual medium, photographer and artist, he has experienced paranormal phenomena for over twenty years. Joe’s first official ghostly encounter occurred in upstate New York, when he unknowingly moved into a haunted boarding house. When Joe also discovered he was a clairaudient medium and could hear the voices of spirit, he decided to use his gifts to research the paranormal field and provide readings for groups and individuals.
Joe graduated from Adelphi Universitywith a degree in Broadcast Communications. His professional memberships, include the American Society for Psychical Research, Association TransCommunication, Forever Family Foundation, Board of Directors, Hampton Bays Historical Society, First Parish Church Spiritual Renewal Center, East End Arts Council and the Southampton Artists Association. Joe owns the Ghost Hunters of Long Island—a paranormal research team; he specializes in spirit photography and Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVPs).
Joe has collaborated on several projects, including two books on ghosts and a TV show pilot with author and historian Kerriann Flanagan Brosky. He has appeared on local cable TV channels and newspapers including Channel 21, News12–Long Island, Channel 55, Plum TV, Newsday and the Southampton Press. Joe has given lectures for professional organizations, such as the Huntington Historical Society and the Ward Melville Heritage Organization, as well as hosting online forums about ghostly topics. He produces the Kerriann and Joe Show, a weekly radio show about the spirit world.
