With voices on Alcatraz Island, the Longest Walk begins its journey west. Next, we visit with walkers at DQ University and on the bus to Rumsey Rancheria to take the first steps on the Longest Walk 2. Then Calvin Magpie, in Pollock Pines, talks abount running up the snowy Sierras and a visit from hawks. Carrie Dann, Western Shoshone greets the walkers in Eureka, Nevada. At the Salt Lake City Longest Walk Powwow, friends and walkers arrive from the west. Finally, Roland McCook at the Southern Ute Museum in Montrose, Colorado, shares Ute history and the struggle to rebury Indian remains now in US museums.
