Breast Cancer does not discriminate. It affects us all, in one way or another. Fredda Bryan is know to those that know her as a "thrivor". She is determined to help educate  and bring breast cancer awareness to the community.

 

Join Nicole Cleveland as she interviews Fredda Bryan, Community Health Advisor/Associate Director with the American Cancer Society. Fredda is also a cancer survivor. Listen she shares her story along with the Portsmouth Partnership to Beat Breast Cancer.

 

Portsmouth, Western Tidewater and Norfolk have the highest mortality rate from breast cancer among the 35 Virginia health districts.

 

The American Cancer Society, Walmart Foundation, and the City of Portsmouth have joined forces  to encourage African American women, particularly those over the age of 40,
to get a mammogram.

 

Our artist spotlight is worship leader /songwriter / recording artist Michael M. Smith. He took us to another level in worship with Bigger Than I Imagined and now he's back with his new CD release titled, UNSTOPPABLE.

Come out and support Michael at his CD release concert on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at the Murray Center in Norfolk, Virginia. The concert is hosted by comedian, Cletus Kassady.
