In the last election cycle (2014), we saw great movement on a lot of issues...in both good and bad directions. It was bad that 21 states had not moved forward on expanding Medicaid when we last talked with Lindsey Benage of Kansas.

The good news in that month that was rapidly moving toward what turned out to be a bad midterm election in terms of progress was that Lindsey & her networks had organized Medicaid expansion vigils in several states, including her home state of Kansas. The aims were to bring awareness to the numbers of people that could die without the benefits of Medicaid coverage and move legislators and government executives to take action on these matters of life and death.

A lot has happened in the last six months on the issue of Medicaid expansion. Barbara Dee & Bram Sarkowski will check in with our friend Lindsey Benage for the first time since October, 2014. We look forward to finding out what has been done and what we can do next!

Our second guest is a long time listener & supporter who does his part to combat the war being waged on the poor in this country in matters of medical care and other issues. He personally sees the urgent need for medical insurance and is irate with Governor Rick Scott for his treatment of those that would qualify for Medicaid if they expanded in Florida. There are other issues that those living on or below the poverty level deal with that we'll get into with Fred & Lindsey, as well.

There will be plenty to talk about in this episode. As always, we encourage you to call in with your comments or questions using the number (646) 478-3349!!

We look forward to hearing from you and from Lindsey and Fred!!!
