"Time heals all wounds (except TBIs)." This is an antiquated phrase, but is it applicable now with the number of TBI survivors and the new medical advancements that are out there? I think it is what you choose to do with that time that makes the difference. Since it never heals entirely, our every day choices can make our TBI easier and seem almost like it has been cured. I have been a survivor for 27 years and I still discover new things almost weekly that are more difficult due to the brain injury. It's time to get rid of the resentment of the brain injury and start adapting because it's not going to go away.
