For 35 years Rob Filippes was an addict and alcoholic. He tried to quit many times, but his failed treatment attempts lead to many overdoses, out of control behavior, and even prison. That alone didn’t stop Rob’s addictions, because he continued to incur parole violations, and broken relationships. He continued to use up to May 2016, when he went into full cardiac arrest and died for ten minutes. He finally stopped using drugs and alcohol, but started drinking NA beer for a year, until he had a TIA stroke. At that point Rob finally stopped everything. Now all he drinks is flavored water and wants to help people with like issues, so they will hopefully not travel the same path. Rob hopes he can inspire others with brain injuries, and carry a message of hope.

This show is a gathering place for anyone seeking recovery from the challenges of life on life's terms. We discuss useful tools that have helped us lighten the load, of our journey through recovery. This is a "we" recovery program, because it is in the "we," that we find the new "me."
