I found out minutes before the show that a regular listener stationed in Afganistan (one of our troops), died on Sept 2nd at 8pm from complications of an IED. Bottomline Fighter is a military channel that can access our shows, so many deployed troops can listen at the same time. Sgt Maj Ron, has been a regular for nearly two years, and we've had a lot of interaction in the chat. He has done numerous tours, had served 30 years, and was to retire for good next month. His sister Diane reached me just 6 minutes before I went on air. In immediate shock, tears, and technical problems...I went on with the show. God bless our troops. Our humble gratitude at Brain Injury Radio for them listening to our shows from so far away, and that we could bring them fellowship and comfort. Thanks to them for their service and sacrifice. I am saddened tonight, but wanted to go on with a tribute, and our condolences to family, friends, and those of us who will sorely miss Sgt Maj Ron. God Bless You.
