With more and more people being diagnosed each day with a Brain Injury as a result of truama, unemployment is on the rise. It was Ortega Y Gasset who defined "Genius", as the ability to invent ones occupation.

As the World's first OFFICIAL TBI THRIVER, Kevin dares to share his insight and experiences to inspire others with Brain Injuries to create a More FUNctional LIFE using a unique perspective with "WTF?".

THIS WEEK:  Independence, Fact or Fiction?,

While Independence Day, also known as the Fourth of July, is a celebration of our country's declaration of independence from Great Britain, are we truly independent?  Variation of its definition includes not requiring or relying on others or something else; showing a desire of freedom; and not looking to others for one's opinions or for guidance in conduct. We all have experienced a time in our lives where we declared to be independent from our parents/guardians; however, we still rely on them in one way or another, yes?

Can we truly be independent in today's society, doing everything for ourselves or are we interdependent? In an interdependent relationship, we may be emotionally, economically, ecologically and/or morally reliant on and responsible to each other. So isn't that how the world thrives?

Tonight, join Kevin in an enlightening discussion about the differences between independence and interdependence, which will provoke you to view the world in a different light.,

Tune in this week to add another perspective to your daily repertoire.  If there is something in particular you would like to hear Kevin discuss, join us on Fridays and share in the chat room with the "Marvelous Maggie" (Kevin's 24/7 Partner and Professional Care Assistant).
