Paws: A Sense of Renewed Hope from Unconditional Love

As Kevin continues along his journey with a brain injury, he constantly looks for ways to improve his life. Recently, Kevin was introduced to service animals, which have been proven to help many brain-injured survivors become Thrivers. Kevin discovered that furry four-legged creatures such as service dogs can offer companionship, decrease isolation, improve physical mobility, but most of all, give unconditional love. Join Kevin as he explores how to become more independent and self-sufficient through partnership with a professionally trained service dog. He will also discuss the application process, provide various resources, and share his insights about his journey to obtain a service dog of his own. Several guest speakers are scheduled to share their personal stories. You are encouraged to call in and share your own experiences with service animals and how they have helped you achieve independence and a sense of renewed hope.
