THE MOON – The Smallest of Satellites is one of the Largest Determinates of Ourselves

    www.blogtalkradio.com,

    Monday, August 10th, 8PM, PST

“Everyone is a moon, and has a dark side which he never shows to anybody.” – Mark Twain

“The Moon is distant from the Sea – And yet with Amber Hands-

She leads Him, docile as a Boy –

Along appointed Sands.”  – Emily Dickinson

Did you think that the zodiac and astrology in general was pretty much covered when we finished the last of the signs in my “Welcome to the Zodiac” Series????

People, The Odyssey has only just begun!

Brad Kronen Welcomes you to the Solar System!

Astrology is based on the premise that each of the planets in our Solar System has its own sphere of influence to those of us on Earth by not just “ruling” a particular sign of the zodiac, but also coloring particular areas of our personalities and of life itself!

In this particular series, I will be discussing each of the planets in our solar system and will not only be going over their attributes and astronomical data but I will be discussing each planet’s derivation in history as well as their sources in human archetype and myth!

What better place to start than from an object in the heavens which mankind has always held near and dear – The Moon.  Both the Sun and the Moon are considered “planets” in astrology and both are of equal importance to one’s personality!  Whenever you read your horoscope you are only reading information that pertains to that part of your personality that is blatant, obvious and outward – your “Sun” sign.  The Moon is JUST as important as one’s Sun, because where the outer world sees one’s shining Sun, The Moon and its sign placement represents that part of your personality that is hidden from the outside world and is the part of you that is your most personal, private and emotional!

The Moon is the first and most powerful of the “watery” or emotional planets and astrologically it encompasses WAY beyond one’s emotions – one’s overall past, one’s home (both childhood and present), as well as one’s MOTHER are all under the domain of  La Luna!

The Moon’s Fun Fact: Since The Moon dominates the landscape of human emotions, it should be no surprise that The Moon also deals with losing your marbles, having splinters in the windmills of your mind, or any other term dealing with LUNACY (The Latin word for Moon is “Luna”).  It is a known fact that when The Moon is at the height of its waxing cycle, or “Full”, emergency rooms, mental hospitals and jails see a SPIKED level of heightened activity!

So depending on how emotionally secure and adjusted you think you are, I still say to fasten your seat belts, it’s going to be one hell of a bumpy space ride!
