The Ineffectively Irresponsible?
Where: www. Blogtalkradio.com When: Wednesday, July 8th, 8PM, PST “People have forgotten how to tell a story. Stories don't have a middle or an end any more. They usually have a beginning that never stops beginning.” - Steven Spielberg, Sagittarian We leave the dark oceanic lair of Scorpio and emerge into the golden light of in born luck that is Sagittarius. It is here that we approach the final four signs of the zodiac and since the ego was officially killed by the flames of Scorpionic desire, Sagittarius, by being a “child of bounty”, SHOULD behave as an “ambassador to the universe” by showing the self that a much bigger plan exists – that of the universe. I emphasize the word “should” because time and time again I find that the sign that is truly given so much not only doesn’t share their bestowed bounty but blatantly squanders it. I’m stunned whenever I ask a Sagittarian “Do you consider yourself lucky?” to get a very lackluster response of “I guess.” or “Kind of.” Being ruled by Jupiter, the planet of luck, fortune and opportunity, Sagittarians are walking 4 leaf clovers, possessing a knack for having the most amazing timing for being in the right place at the right time and a luck factor that leaves the rest of us speechless! But as I teach that everything in the universe has a price, so too does being born lucky. Without a sense of discipline, work ethic, and focusing on the belief of “goodwill towards men”, dumb old luck has a way of becoming terrifying and ugly past a certain age and can end up devouring the person who possesses it by making them the most embarrassing of hypocrites and ineffectively irresponsible with everything they do. Sounds like the nicest of fairy tales gone awry, doesn’t it?) The life of the Sagittarian, in many ways, IS a morality tale of good versus evil and many of them make some of the best story tellers out there! In my youth, I DESPISED the films of Steven Spielberg, accusing him of sugar coating everything, especially his endings. It wasn’t until recently by not only seeing that he was just as adept at portraying the opposite end of sugar with such films as “Munich” and “Schindler’s List”, but the man was a master film maker by taking his natural Sagittarian propensities and capturing them on film. Sag is a mutable fire sign and needs to always be busy doing numerous things at once. With that said, NO ONE can capture simultaneous multiple actions in film and most of the time in one sweeping shot like Steven Spielberg can! Some prime examples being : the multi national news reporters in “Munich”, the protestors and reporters in “Jaws”, and pretty much every scene in “Close Encounters of the Third Kind” especially the ones involving the military and/or different cultures. The inherent luck of the Sagittarian is what makes them the eternal optimist, even when things seem anything BUT hopeful. The icon that I have chosen for Sagittarius is, I feel, my best piece of writing to date and my choices for Sagittarius’ Song of the Day are powerful to say the least. Both are quite apropos for these uncertain times. I urge all of you to take the time to check them out! So join me won’t you? Luck be a Sag-y tonight! Sagittarius Fun Fact: You may have noticed that I used a Christmas-y term earlier – “goodwill towards men”. When looking at Christmastime through an astrological lens, it’s no surprise that the main image/logo/symbol of Christmas is someone who is jolly (a Jupiterian trait), laughs with a bowl full of jelly (fat cells and any lining of fat is Jupiter ruled) and comes bearing gifts or in other words has goodwill towards men (traits that every Sag SHOULD possess)! So all you Sags out there, use Santa Claus himself (post diet and lypo surgery, of course) as your mentor on how to behave! Dedicated to: Gina Giusto Guglielmi, my polar opposite who is the antithesis of the Sagittarian horror I have witnessed and a Sagittarian who has acted with a generosity of heart that is noteworthy of her sign.
