    Scorpio Song of the Day

    from Brad Kronen’s

    “Welcome to the Zodiac” Series

When most people hear the word Scorpio – two things usually come to their minds.  Or, I should clarify that an exaggerated, warped version comes to people’s minds of those two things – Love and sex.

Unfortunately the non-Scorpio person will associate love with the Scorpio but the kind of love that is power driven, obsessive, vengeful and yes, deadly. So perverted has the image of the Scorpio in love become, that upon hearing that a friend/relative is dating a Scorpio, many of us will picture the new Scorpionic paramour in their own  custom made gloves and Bruno Mali shoes ready to pounce on their helpless lover when he or she even looks at them funny.   Love for the Scorpio is such an all encompassing thing that when they go through a breakup it's very much like a little death. Which brings us to that other “thing” which is the motivational and determining factor for pretty much every action modern day Americans make, be they conscious or subliminal  –
    SEX!

In France, where supposedly they speak that “language d’amour”, not 1 but 2 words are used to describe an orgasm – le “petite morte” or the little death.  Both death and sex are under the domain of the 8th house which Scorpio naturally rules and for the Scorpio they look at both with the same kind of intensity as if in the middle of having a “petite morte.!!!.

My choice of music for Scorpio’s Song of the Day technically is from a Virgo, Amy Winehouse .  Now, I do believe Amy has a Scorpio Ascendant, which would lead me to think that she must sing the S*%%, or Merde out of this piece in any kind of live setting b/c her Scorpionic Rising Sign whenever in the public's eye drags her down to the utter depths of emotional nakedness and expression!  Scorps feel things SO deeply and to the core that expressing their emotions is an extremely raw and vulnerable act for them. Only a chosen few in their inner circles have witnessed the Scorpio express their natural water sign self.  With that in mind, Scorpios take NOTHING lightly and are hardcore with whatever they do or they simply don't bother.  This intensity and awareness of their emotional vulnerability is what makes them the true survivor sign of the zodiac but also makes them approach the game of love as a battle to the death every time!

So pull your black veils down, we now shall eulogize and mourn for the heart of every Scorpio by listening to “Back in Black” by Amy Winehouse.  AC/DC fans, the exit is to back and the right……….

    "Back in Black"

    Get on without my guy
You went back to what you knew
So far removed from all that we went through

And I tread a troubled track
    My odds are stacked
    I'll go back to black

We only said good-bye with words
    I died a hundred times
    You go back to her
    And I go back to.....

    I go back to us
I love you much It's not enough
You love blow and I love puff

And life is like a pipe
And I'm a tiny penny rolling up the walls inside

We only said goodbye with words
    I died a hundred times
    You go back to her
And I go back to Black, black, black, black, black, black, black,
I go back to I go back to

We only said good-bye with words
    I died a hundred times
    You go back to her
    And I go back to
We only said good-bye with words
    I died a hundred times
    You go back to her
And I go back to black
