Fate and Technical Glitches: Michael Jackson's Hubris of Perfection

    Fate and Technical Glitches:
    Michael Jackson's Hubris of Perfection

    Photobucket

As a karmic astrologer, I try to emphasize that for many of us, NOTHING can be written off as merely haphazard coincidences.  I guess this now applies to being plagued with technical problems while on the air trying to give a talk radio show.

On the evening of June 24th, 2009 I hosted my show which  focused on the sign of Virgo from my "Welcome to the Zodiac" Series.  Immediately upon starting the show, I had to make an on the air apology to the sign that strives for perfection - it seemed that I simply could NOT get into my own chatroom and therefore begged every Virgo's forgiveness for beginning their show in such an imperfect manner.)  This technical glitch had never happened before and subsequently never was resolved for the show's entirety that evening.  So instead of having the unevolved impatient side of my Gemini mind take over and bemoan such a nuisance, I told myself that since I could not see any of my viewers' questions and/or comments that this technical mishap would be seen as an opportunity I otherwise wouldn't have to expound upon some innately Virgoan themes.

And the main example I used was a certain Virgoan named Michael Jackson............

For those of you unfamiliar with that sign, in short, Virgos are the worry warts of the zodiac as well as one of the three "karmic" signs.  Those born under the karmic signs are meant or destined to have a life in service to others and the Virgoan does this by producing as close to "perfect" work as possible.  Because of their karmic need to serve, Virgos take their Mercurial fast and o so precise minds and strive to please their superiors by performing tasks that are teeming with details!  For MJ, this striving would result in a life long subconscious pursuit to please his superior who seemed never to be satisfied with his performances - his father.  I still am stunned whenever I see early Jackson 5 footage to realize that the band of brothers' lead singer with such a  full, rich and powerful voice as well as with the limber, naturally sleek dance moves is not only 9 years old, but a Virgo! While discussing famous people born under the sign of the Virgin, I stated that those Virgos who ended up being thrust into the spotlight of fame as a leading man or lady NEVER fully adjusted to this placement of constant attention nor were they ever comfortable there as well.  With that in mind, it's not a coindicence that Jacko's song of indignation written to the international press in the mid 80's called "Leave me Alone" was in essence proclaimed by another Virgo who wished the same sentiment 50 years earlier when Gretta Garbo famously coined the phrase "Ay Vont Too Bee Ahlohn" or in less forced dramatic intonation, "I Want To Be Alone."!

Virgos identify themselves with their as close to perfect work as possible, and if this work is repeatedly not appreciated by their superior over time, the stress caused from never hearing those o so needed words of praise or appreciation will eventually affect their bodies and health.  Ironically the sign that rules the 6th house of health and daily regimen and who is THE most healthy usually by lifestyle and hygiene, tends to be the sign that also claims to have the most disastrous and ill forboding diseases known to man!

Virgo is ruled by the planet of thought, Mercury, and when their thoughts are burdened with the stress of analyzing themselves incessantly as to why they are not getting rave reviews from their superiors then that constant mental self criticism ends up creating some of the greatest hypochondriacs on the planet! Every Virgo reading this piece has to admit that at some point in their life he or she was CONVINCED they were succumbing to something as rare as Histiocytic Necrotizing Lymphadenitis or were absolutely POSITIVE they were in the advanced stages of a disease as deadly as Mucopolysaccharidosis IV!

Jackson's meteoric fame as a child lead vocalist was a burden of responsiblity that weighed heavily enough in its own right, his father's lack of parental pride and praise only exacerbated this, but what I feel truly broke Michael Jackson's mental bank and would eventually take his life was the added weight of the world of having to always bear the realization that yes! this Virgo made an opus of detail rich work that was as close to perfection as humanly possible and that none of his labors afterwards would even be in the same vicinity of error free and adored by all Nirvana than his double album "Thriller".

I remember being in high school gym class at the tail end of 1984 and blatantly showing facial expressions of disgust when I realized that the girls were doing aerobics to the newly released single "Wanna Be Starting Something" from the album that hit the charts way back in 1982 which Brad termed as "the record that will never die" Thriller.  It seemed as if EVERY song from that album was released as a hit single that would each in turn stay at number one for weeks on end that would each in turn delay the release of the subsequent song from said album so that at any given moment in 1984 there was ALWAYS a song from Thriller being played on the air! Pretty perfect if you ask me!

But perfection, which for the Virgoan is their ultimate state of existence can also be their hubris once achieved because any work they do from that point afterwards will always pale in comparison. And right at the point when every possible ounce of popularity or exposure had been squeezed out of that warhorse of never ending Top 10 hits is when word spread  of Michael Jackson's extremely rare disorders, diseases and conditions of the skin and of his desperate attempts to remedy, rectify and eradicate them.

Which leads us back to Brad's show on the evening of the 24th of June....After discussing the condensed details of the above I stated on the air "Michael Jackson does not suffer from any kind of rare disease or physical abnormality, he bears the burden of being a Virgo."

A burden which he relinquished a mere 10 or so hours later - may that Virgo FINALLY get some much needed and well praised rest that he never seemed to find in his daily toils while on this plane of existence.

Rest in Peace, Michael and May Perpetual Light Shine Upon You!
