Say what you like about the President of the Free World but let me make myself perfectly clear (while pointing my finger right in your face) "George W. Bush is a Cancer." July 6th to be exact. I planned on not making this icon in any way partisan, but I'm also not a miracle worker, so here we go.....To begin, my fellow Americans, or I should specify that most of my fellow Cancerian Americans tend to be quite patriotic as a whole. Many astrologers insist that the good old US of A is a Cancerian country referring adamently to America's inception of independence when the Sun was in Cancer on July 4th 1776. I, for one, beg to differ and see the United States as a Virgoan country based on the fact that the first Caucasians that stumbled upon this continent thinking they were in China were Puritans and their value sytem has remained ever since. But with that aside, the 4th house which is the house that Cancer rules is the house of one's home, one's family and also of one's connection to one's land and one's "people". With that said, my next statement will be said in as neutral a fashion as humanly possible, I do think that President Bush loves his country. Love can be defined in o so many ways - from LOVE-ing your lobbying buddies in the auto industry and preventing any kind of way overdue advancements to be made with electric/green efficient cars and fuels to LOVE-ing phrases that are not feasible nor factual in reality but might make most of the populace feel better such as the "War on Terror" and the "War on Poverty". But why quibble? I teach that the Cancerian male is a creature unto himself. Western males are taught "Boys don't cry!" and when a boy is born under the emotionaly sensitive and naturally maternal water sign of Cancer, he can go 1 of 2 routes: - Embrace his sensitivity and not block his emotions and turn out to be one of the most powerful people in Hollywood like Tom Hanks. - Repress his emotions and anything perceived to come close to emotional and avoid any type of emotional confrontation by having ones eyes and facial muscles sidle from side to side, just like a Crab, as does our Chief Executive Officer during any kind of press conference! Now, when looking further away from the "many of the same faces of George", the thing that intrigued me about this icon was that when one looked at it from further away, it becomes almost like an American Indian Dream Catcher, a mystical relic made to capture the demons in the night that were created from one's bad dreams. Dreams are the turf of the Cancerian since they are ruled by the Moon, and this land is the turf of the Indians who were fully aware of the dark and light nature of man. (Waving hand out of tinted windowed limo with American flagged bumpers as it drives away.)
