Gemini Song of the Day from Brad Kronen's "Welcome to the Zodiac" Series

Monday's show is all about Gemini - the sign of duality, versatility, and non stop talking.  Hmmm, Can anyone think of who that could sound like?  That's right yours truly is born under the sign of the twins!  Listen to any of my shows and you'll see  right away the non stop talking part.)  Being a Gemini, I'm always surprised that a lot of people say to me "So you're a Gemini huh? Jeckyl and Hyde."  Ummmm, not quite. More like duality.  We Geminis are very very stimulated by duality and versatility.  My parents said to me  growing up "How can you do your homework with that TV or radio blaring?"  To which I would respond, "How else can I?" Focusing on just one thing can be sheer drudgery to the Gemini and our curse is boredom.  We tend to get in our share of troubles over the simple reason of just being bored.  Multitasking is our thing and not only are we good at it we kind of need to do things that way.)  When you read the lyrics to this song, you won't need any further explanation as to why it's the Gemini song of the day.  The words are sung back and forth between a man and a woman, Bjork and Einar (gender duality) . My favorite lyric to the song "Lucky Night" is one of my favorite lyrics of all time "To not sleep, And be not unhappy."  And an extra fun thing to know about this song is the lead singer is herself Gemini rising, Bjork.  This was when Bjork was pre solo goddess with the band The Sugarcubes, who I saw a number of times live. Enjoy!

    'Lucky Night"

    Björk:
I've tried a lot and most things excite me.
But what tops it all is doing two things at a time.
    Einar:
Life and death, Glass and water
Rock and roll, wash and dirty
Christ and Jesus, time and hours
    Björk:
To drive a car and listen to music.
To read a book and ride a train.
    Einar:
Watch and maker, God and dog
Hammer and Saw, Babies and Nappies
Stop and Hold, Moon and Stars
    Björk:
    To be a charming combination,
    Tense me up.
I'm into trying a lot and most things excite me.
But what tops it all is doing two things at a time.
    Einar:
Knife and fork, Pad and felt
Window and Pane, Country and western
Rhythm and Blues, Yawn and Sigh
    Björk:
This is a lucky night for me
A night when one plus one is three
To read a letter and fall in love
To not sleep and be not unhappy
    To watch tv and cuddle
    Crême de la crême
Is doing two things at a time
    Einar:
To do two things twice at once
It's so nice, is there a point?
    Björk:
    Two things... two!
    Einar:
    To be or not to
    Time and logic finally
You must enter my two nostrils
Can that be, or am I just thinking?
    Life and death
    Glass and water...
    Björk:
    Two things at a time
