Aquarius: The Fiercest of True Friends or The Obnoxiously Individualistic Iconoclast?

BRAD KRONEN'S WELCOME TO THE ZODIAC SERIES “Some people go to priests; others to poetry; I, to my friends."- Virginia Woolf, Aquarian The element of air first came to the zodiacal stage when man’s intellectual breezes first began; with the mental curiosity and Mercurial speed of Gemini. This lightest of elements then lifted from mere solitary thought to concern itself with the charming, but partly pristine partnership musings of Libra. The element of rational thought and communicative discourse now ascends to its final and highest point in the Zodiac by emerging as zephyrs of originality and innovation which fly fast and furiously across the futuristic skies that dominate the vast landscape that IS the mind of the Aquarian! Aquarius, along with Scorpio is by far THE most misunderstood sign in the zodiac. At least with Scorpio, their unevolved or bad traits are what actually do come to the general populace’s mind, but most people can’t even properly categorize what element Aquarius even belongs to, let alone any of the personality traits assigned to them...and this includes people born under the sign of quirkiness, Aquarians themselves! The house that Aquarius naturally rules is another area of hazy misunderstanding. Terms used to describe the 11th house should be said in your best New Age voice peppered with some Hippie: “Hopes…Wishes….and Dreams....Dude.” More importantly,the 11th house is the house of “groups” and as so beautifully expressed by one of my most revered authors, the Aquarian who wrote such ahead of its time pieces of intellectual genius like “To The Lighthouse”, Virginia Woolf - what better group is there in modern day society that we identify with than our group of friends! Aquarius Fun Fact: It’s no coincidence that the 2 people who are the current Titans of that very specific, dare I say, ALL CONTROLLING mode of communication, known as the “talk show” are both Aquarians- Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres!
