“America! America! God Shed His Grace on Tannhauser!” Did I just hear a German word?? – quick, cover the children's ears! “And Crown Thy Good, With Overkill by Men At Work” Dear God! Aren't they......AUSTRAILIAN???? “From Sea to Shining Spiderweb by No Doubt” Gwen Stefani instead of Kate Smith??? NOOOOOOOOOOO! I know.....When you put the terms “Music” and “July 4th” together, the first ditties that come to mind are not necessarily opera snippets penned in German nor a B side from the Austrailian band who knew they were doomed upon winning the“Best New Group” Award at the 1982 Grammys. But all in all, my upcoming 4th of July internet talk radio show could NOT be more All American!! For not only is this great country of ours a melting pot of the tempest tossed, it's also comprised of that great melting pot in the sky known as The Zodiac! In my “Welcome To The Zodiac” Series that I will be presenting this summer, I cover everything you'd ever want to know about each sign of the Zodiac. I take that concept and expand further by giving each sign an “icon” - a visual image that is not the sign's symbol but is ALL about that sign, as well as a “Song of the Day”, piece of music that has either lyrics or an overall musical essence that simply IS that sign. My 4th of July show will be a very fun intro to my “Welcome to the Zodiac” Series by playing every sign's “Song of the Day”. After the 4th of July Musical Extravaganza , I will be starting my “Welcome To The Zodiac” Series where twice a week, each show will be dedicated to each sign of the Zodiac. So Join me won't you? Black is Back, but not because of ACDC.
